The safety precautions outlined here are intended to protect users and prevent property damage or inconvenience caused by accidents. Please read carefully and follow them correctly
Installation and Usage Warning
- Do not install or repair the product on your own.
- Avoid installation if the gap between the door and the doorframe exceeds 5mm.
Product Care and Usage
- Direct Sunlight:
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it may cause cracks on the touchpad.
- Button Handling:
Do not press buttons forcefully or use sharp tools on the keypad.
- Water Exposure:
Do not operate the product with wet hands or allow liquids such as water or beverages to enter the device.
- Cleaning:
Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using water, benzene, alcohol, or similar cleaning agents.
Security and Battery Management
- Lock Confirmation:
Always ensure the door is securely locked when leaving the premises.
- Battery Insertion:
Insert batteries correctly, matching the polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the battery compartment.
- Reversed Battery Installation:
Incorrect insertion may cause leakage or battery explosion.
- Power Consumption:
Battery consumption may increase depending on the wireless communication environment.
- Wireless Interference:
This device may experience or cause wireless interference during operation.
- Human Safety Services:
This wireless equipment is not suitable for services related to life safety.
- Condensation Issues:
Operating the product in environments prone to condensation may affect performance.
- Usage Distance:
Keep a distance of at least 20cm (if applicable, clarify further).

Warning
This product is a keyless door lock. In the event of a malfunction, part of the door lock may need to be damaged for access. Ensure familiarity with the emergency manual override procedure.

3. How to Unlock the Door from Outside
When the user approaches the outdoor unit, the IR (Infrared) sensor automatically switches the door lock to Recognition Standby Mode.
If the IR (Infrared) sensor fails to detect the user or recognition does not occur, press the doorbell button on the handle of the outdoor unit to switch to Recognition Standby Mode.
Face Recognition
When a registered face is recognized by the face recognition sensor on the outdoor unit, the door will unlock.

Face Recognition Delay Time and Malfunction Prevention Guide
- If no face is recognized during Face Recognition Standby Mode after three consecutive attempts, the Face Recognition Function will be suspended.
- If Face Recognition Standby Mode does not activate, press the doorbell button on the outdoor unit handle to enable the face recognition function normally (IR sensor “Welcome Feature” not detected).
- If the Welcome Feature is disabled in the mobile app, press the doorbell button on the outdoor unit handle to activate the Face Recognition Function normally.
Recognizable User Height by Distance from the Door Lock
- At a minimum distance of 50 cm, the door lock can recognize users with a height range of 104 cm to 180 cm.
- For users taller than 180 cm, slightly lowering the head or stepping back a bit will enable proper face recognition.
Face Recognition Based on Installation Environment
- Low Light Conditions:
Face recognition works properly even in complete darkness.
- Bright Light Exposure:
If the camera is exposed to intense sunlight, face recognition may not function correctly. Adjust the installation location or use a shading cover if necessary.
Key-Tag
When a registered key tag or smart tag is touched to the front of the outdoor handle, the door will unlock.

Fingerprint
When a registered fingerprint is accurately placed on the fingerprint recognition sensor located on the back of the outdoor handle, the door will unlock.

- If an authentication method other than face recognition is entered incorrectly five consecutive times, an error sound will play, followed by a voice message indicating that input is disabled for three minutes. (Applies only to the failed authentication method.)
4. How to Unlock the Door from Inside
Touch the indoor handle to unlock the door.

When the indoor door lock handle is touched, the lock is released, and a light push will open the door.
- Default Touch Setting Mode:
- Single Touch Mode:
- Multi-Touch Mode:
The indoor handle’s initial setting is ‘Single Touch Mode’.
Touching only the front surface of the indoor handle activates the unlock function.
Touching two or more areas (front surface and top/bottom side surfaces) of the indoor handle is required to unlock the door.
- Touch Precautions:
- Touching with objects other than bare hands (e.g., gloves, cardboard boxes) or holding only the back of the handle may not unlock the door.
- Settings Adjustment:The touch mode can be configured only via the mobile app.
Touch Areas in Multi-Touch Mode:
- Front Surface: The main touch-sensitive area on the front of the indoor handle.
- Top Side Surface: The upper edge of the indoor handle.
- Bottom Side Surface: The lower edge of the indoor handle.

Unlocking the Door with the Manual Release
Turn the manual release lever on the indoor unit downward to unlock and open the door.

Locking the Door
The door automatically locks when closed. (Default setting)
5. How to Register Authentication Methods
Authentication Method Registration
Authentication methods can be registered only when the door is open. Open the wireless module compartment cover at the bottom of the indoor unit and press the [Register] button briefly. A voice prompt will guide you through the registration process. Follow the instructions to register access keys.
- Registration Mode Duration: Each authentication method registration lasts for 30 seconds, during which the deadbolt will not lock, so be cautious. - Registration Safety Tip: It is recommended to register access keys when someone is at home to avoid being locked out.
How to Open the Wireless Module Compartment Cover:
- Hold the wireless module compartment cover at the bottom of the indoor unit and pull downward to remove the cover.


- If no initial authentication method is registered, a warning message “Please register an authentication method” will be announced.
- If no authentication method is registered, the door will not lock automatically (except when WiFi registration is completed).
- If WiFi is not registered, at least one key tag must be registered during the first authentication setup, followed by additional methods such as face recognition or other key tags.
Key Tag Registration
You can register up to 50 key tags.
Registered key tags can be individually deleted or fully reset through the APP (available only after WiFi registration).
After the initial purchase or factory reset, if no authentication method is registered (excluding WiFi registration), at least one key tag must be registered first before adding additional authentication methods such as fingerprints or key tags.

Fingerprint Registration
Place Your Finger on the Sensor:
- Touch the fingerprint sensor with your finger.
Adjust Finger Position:
- Slightly adjust the position of your finger after each scan to ensure full coverage of the fingerprint.
Registration Process:
- After each successful scan, a “Ding” sound will be heard.
- After 6 successful scans, a “Success” sound will confirm that the fingerprint has been registered.
Important Notes:
- Make sure your finger is clean and dry for accurate registration.
- If registration fails, try again or consult the product manual.

To activate Face Recognition during the process, press the doorbell button on the front of the outdoor unit handle. (This will exit Fingerprint and Key Tag modes.)
Face Registration
- Maximum Registration:
Up to 50 faces can be registered.
- Management:
Registered faces can be individually deleted or fully reset through the APP (available only after WiFi registration).

6. Additional Features and Settings
WiFi Registration (Platform Registration)
By registering the door lock on the Zigbang Smart Home App, you can access various IoT services, including:
- Issuing Zigbang Digital Keys
- Remote Door Unlocking
- Entry History Notifications
How to Register the Door Lock:
- Install the Zigbang Smart Home App:
- Download the “Zigbang Smart Home” App from the Google Play Store or App Store.
- Create an Account / Log In:
- Open the app and sign up or log in with your account credentials.
- Add a Device:
- Go to the Device Registration menu and select “Digital Door Lock”.
- Activate WiFi Pairing Mode on the Door Lock:
- Follow the product manual to enter Administrator Mode on the door lock.
- Select WiFi Settings and activate Pairing Mode.
- Complete Registration:
- Follow the app’s prompts to connect the door lock to your home WiFi network.
- After successful registration, save the settings and name the device.

Wi-Fi Registration Method
To register the door lock, ensure the door is closed, then press and hold the registration button on the indoor unit for at least 5 seconds before proceeding with Wi-Fi registration through the app.

Caution
- The Wi-Fi router must be turned on to register the door lock.
- If using a dual-band wireless router (2.4GHz/5GHz), ensure that the 2.4GHz band is enabled, as 5GHz is not supported.
- For detailed registration instructions and additional services, please refer to the guide provided in the app.
Welcome Feature (APP Setting Function)
When the user approaches the door lock, the doorbell LED lights up, and the key tag reader or fingerprint scanner is automatically activated, entering Authentication Standby Mode. By default, the Welcome Feature is enabled after purchase.
- Detection Range Adjustment:The detection range has three adjustable levels and can also be disabled via the app.
Door Closing Time Setting (APP Setting Function)
This function allows users to set the automatic door closing time. If the deadbolt gets stuck due to environmental conditions, adjust the door-closing time to prevent locking malfunctions.
Sound Volume Setting for Operation Tones
In addition to adjusting the voice guide volume, the melody sound that plays when the door lock opens or closes can also be adjusted.
- Sound Settings: Mute, Medium, High – configurable via the app.
Indoor Multi-Touch (Door Unlocking) Mode (APP Setting Function)
The default unlocking method is touching the front of the indoor handle. However, in environments where accidental unlocking could be an issue, users can enable Multi-Touch Mode, which requires touching both the front and side surfaces of the indoor handle simultaneously.
- Purpose:
- Prevent pets from accidentally unlocking the door.
- Reduce unlocking caused by human errors or picking attempts.
Away Mode (APP Setting Function)
This mode is activated when leaving the home. If the door lock opens from the inside, an alarm will sound, and a notification will be sent to the app.
- Important Note:Use this function only when no one is inside the house.
Home Security Mode (Stay Safe Function)
This feature restricts door unlocking from outside, ensuring maximum privacy when everyone is at home during the night or at other times. Once enabled, no authentication method will unlock the door from outside.
- Important Caution:
- After enabling this feature, the door cannot be opened from outside, even with registered methods.
- Prevent Unauthorized Use: Ensure children do not activate this setting from inside.
- App Use Warning: Do not enable this function when no one is home.
Setting Mode
Press and hold the [DOUBLE LOCK] button on the indoor unit for 3 seconds while the door is locked.

Deactivation
- Press the [DOUBLE LOCK] Button:
- Briefly press the [DOUBLE LOCK] button on the indoor unit to deactivate the lock.
- Manual Release:
- Turn the manual release lever downward to unlock and open the door.

Tamper Prevention Feature (Default - Cannot Be Disabled)
This feature prevents unauthorized access by blocking the door lock’s operation when incorrect authentication attempts are made:
- If an unregistered fingerprint or key tag is used, the door lock will emit an error sound followed by a 3-minute lockout period with a voice notification.
- During this time, all door lock functions, including face recognition, will be disabled for 3 minutes for each failed authentication attempt.
Intrusion Detection Feature (Default - Cannot Be Disabled)
This feature triggers a warning alarm when the door is forcibly opened from the inside or outside:
- If the door is forcefully opened while locked, the door opening sensor will detect the intrusion and sound an alarm for 5 minutes.
- Deactivating the Alarm:
- Authenticate using an outdoor authentication method (e.g., passcode, fingerprint, face recognition).
- Use the mobile app to disable the alarm remotely.
High-Temperature Alarm Feature (Default - Cannot Be Disabled)
This feature activates when the indoor temperature rises abnormally (around 70℃ ± 10℃):
- The temperature sensor will detect the high temperature and trigger the alarm.
- What to Do:
- Wait for the alarm sound to stop.
- Use the manual release lever to unlock the door and exit the premises.
- The door lock will resume normal operation once the indoor temperature returns to a safe level.
7. Reset Method (Factory Reset)
When factory reset is performed, all registered authentication methods will be deleted, and the door will not lock automatically. Be sure to register new authentication methods immediately to secure the door.
Factory Reset Method
- Ensure the Door is Open:
- Make sure the door is open before proceeding.
- Open the Wireless Module Cover:
- Remove the wireless module compartment cover on the indoor unit.
- Press the Pin-Hole Reset Button:
- Locate the pin-hole type Reset Button next to the registration button.
- Use a thin pin or needle-like tool to press and hold the button for 10 seconds.
- Wait for Confirmation:
- The door lock will emit a confirmation sound or voice message indicating that factory reset is complete.

During factory reset, Wi-Fi registration information will be deleted.
Please re-register Wi-Fi using the mobile app after completing the reset process.
9. Battery Replacement & Emergency Door Unlocking
Battery Replacement
When the battery replacement melody and voice notification sound while opening the door, replace the batteries immediately. Continuing to use the door lock without replacing the batteries may cause it to stop functioning.
How to Replace the Batteries:
- Open the Battery Cover:
- Press the top cover button on the indoor unit to unlock and open the battery compartment cover.
- Remove Old Batteries:
- Carefully take out the used batteries.
- Insert New Batteries:
- Insert 8 AA alkaline batteries (1.5V).
- Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated in the compartment.
- Close the Battery Cover:
- Securely close the cover after installation.
- Battery Lifespan:
- Battery life may vary depending on manufacturer, manufacture date, and usage environment.
- Standard lifespan: 7 months with 8 AA alkaline batteries (1.5V) based on 10 uses per day.
- App Users: The lifespan may be shorter than 6 months due to additional power consumption from Wi-Fi usage.
- Battery Leakage Prevention:
- Check regularly (every 6 months) for battery leakage. Leakage may damage the device.
- Registration & Settings Restrictions:
- Menu functions such as Registration Mode or Settings Mode cannot be accessed after the low battery alert sounds until the batteries are replaced.
- Battery Replacement Tip:
- Replace all batteries at once. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Emergency Door Unlocking Method
If the batteries run out due to delayed replacement, the door lock may fail to operate properly. In this case, follow these steps to unlock the door using emergency power supply:
- Open the Emergency Power Terminal Cover:
- Locate the emergency power terminal cover at the bottom of the outdoor unit and open it.
- Connect a Power Bank:
- Plug a USB-C cable from a portable power bank into the terminal.
- Ensure the power bank is fully charged.
- Unlock the Door:
- Once power is supplied, enter your passcode, scan your fingerprint, use a key tag, or perform face recognition to unlock the door.
- Replace Batteries Immediately:
- After successfully unlocking the door, replace all batteries with new AA alkaline batteries (1.5V) as soon as possible.
Important Notes:
- Ensure the power bank is fully charged before use.
- Disconnect the USB-C cable after the door is unlocked to prevent power drainage.
- Test the lock after replacing the batteries to ensure normal operation.
